Responsibilities:
- Responding to complex internal and external customer inquiries regarding chemical legislation
- Organizing administrative processes in the context of REACH
- Developing national and international product safety strategies that take into account country-specific requirements and market regulations in coordination with product management, production, application technology and research from the business units
- Advising internal interfaces on all matters relating to product safety and initiating or implementing the necessary measures
- Monitoring and commenting on national and international product safety-related laws and regulations and their implementation, taking into account product-specific concerns
- Representation of the business unit in national and international professional and interest groups (VCI, CES, Reach consortia, SIEFs, etc.) as well as participation in internal cross-divisional committees
Requirements:
- Degree in chemistry, environmental sciences or comparable
- Experience in product stewardship desirable
- Knowledge of business administration required
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for chemicals and their application
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with SAP
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Strong customer focus, communication and teamwork skills
