Description:

  • Plaintiff Claims & Legal Support:
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing plaintiffs’ claims before submitting them for managerial approval.
  • Aid in the follow-up of default judgments, ensuring necessary legal actions are pursued.
  • Support the issuance and management of garnishments, ensuring legal processes are followed.
  • Negotiate with 3rd parties involved in potential legal claims
  • Support management in court proceedings
  • Garnishments & Legal Compliance:
  • Assist in verifying employment information for garnishments and ensure garnishments are issued as per court orders.
  • Monitor and follow up on garnishments to ensure payment plans are adhered to, coordinating with the courts as necessary.
  • Support the resolution of any delays or discrepancies in garnishment payments by maintaining close communication with the courts.
  • Insolvency Management:
  • Assist in overseeing and managing insolvency cases, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with trustees, providing necessary support to challenge and address case issues.
  • Support the filing of proof of claims in a timely manner, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Monitor annulled insolvencies and take appropriate legal action when they arise.
  • Warranty Rebate Recovery:
  • Assist in overseeing warranty rebate recovery efforts and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Provide support in disputing and resolving warranty rebate claims with warranty companies.
  • Facilitate the recovery of warranty funds and maintain accurate records.
  • Internal Record Keeping & Communication:
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date records in internal systems regarding garnishments, insolvency cases, and warranty rebate recoveries.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status of ongoing legal matters.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure the smooth execution of all recovery efforts.
  • Valid Paralegal License (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant experience in related fields such as drafting plaintiff claims and attending court hearings for Judgments and/or garnishments.
  • Strong background in legal recovery processes, including insolvency, garnishments, and warranty claims.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex legal cases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with trustees, courts, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assist in the resolution of legal disputes.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively assisting in multiple legal and recovery tasks.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
