Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Brand Creative Studio team at Stanley Black & Decker is looking for a Copywriter to join our team. Ideal candidates have a portfolio of work containing a wide range of voices, clients and techniques. This position will work both independently and as a lead on copy needs for marketing initiatives. This person must possess exceptional writing skills (Spanish and English), with the ability to contribute to creative development for a wide range of communications including digital ad campaigns, social media, website content and email marketing to support brand initiatives and new product launches. This person must be well versed in setting brand standards, tone-of-voice and writing to a number of diverse channels including print, video and digital.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equal experience) in Communications, Advertising, Journalism or another related field.
- 7-10+ years professional experience writing in the digital marketing space.
- Exceptional writing skills (Spanish and English), including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences.
- Able to clearly articulate concepts and creative ideas.
- Exceptional spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
- Experience with campaign development and creative execution.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands.
- Excellent interpersonal interactions with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
- Prior advertising/marketing agency experience a plus.
- Provide writing samples of your best work.

- Collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of our brand and product marketing initiatives.
- Ability to write and concept for big ideas and brand storytelling for omni-channel marketing campaigns.
- Adhere to guidelines outlined to maintain consistent brand voice/tone throughout all digital marketing initiatives across web, mobile, email, social, video, radio and traditional channels.
- Participate in creative concepting and collaborate with brand strategists, designers and project coordinators.
- Translate brand creative direction and copy points into engaging and effective writing concepts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, brand strategists, digital marketers and designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style.
- Oversee digital copy across owned and retail channels to ensure consistency.
- Interact with people at all levels internally, globally, and with external vendors.
- Use research and data insights to inform creative writing decisions.
