POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Director, Sales for Laboratory Products – East Zone region, covers a wide portfolio of Laboratory Equipment and Consumable to achieve revenue growth and profitability objectives.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Leads sales team to meet or exceed annual sales targets
- Designs strategic sales roadmap to facilitate product line growth within the region
- Develops and leads the annual process of creating sales strategies and plans, sales forecast and projections, goals, and expenses.
- Evaluates market conditions and the timely adjustment of sales strategy to effectively adapt to those changes.
- Collaborates with Business Unit leadership to ensure clear communication and understanding of marketing and new product plans.
- Leads, monitors and reports communication and business activities with external channel partners and internal divisions
- Employ and embrace continuous improvement practices
- Participates in the selection, hiring, coaching and mentoring of direct reports.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree required in Life Science and/or other related field.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires 15 years experience in the life science industry
- Role model sales leader with ability to develop a high-performance, customer focused and adaptable sales team
- Strong analytical and financial acumen: the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis
- Proven success in forming interdepartmental relationships and working in matrix environment
- Experience with both direct and distribution selling environments is desired
