POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Sr. Implementation Consultant, EDI/ERP to join our Microsoft Market Team; in this role, you will manage support instances requiring partner involvement, serving as the escalation point between the client and the SPS partner. If you are seeking a role where your top priority will be to exceed customer expectations by understanding the clients’ business model, partner resources and limitations, and the value added by product components, then this role could be a great fit for you!
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s degree, including 3+ years in account management, relationship management, or product management.
- Prior experience with third parties, consultants, VARs, and application providers is desired.
- Strong relationship-building skills, especially over the phone, with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, ability to multi-task, and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet browsers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Microsoft ERPs (Navision, Great Plains, F&O, Business Central, etc) is strongly preferred
- Strong SQL and query skills
- History of working with adapter tools such as DMEDI or Vantage Point
- Knowledge of EDI standards and Order to Cash EDI documents (810, 850, 856, 940, 945)
- Industry experience in Retail, heavy equipment, automotive, supply chain is desirable
- Comfortable using humor to build rapport and foster a collaborative team culture
- Consulting experience in common industry standard business practices, such as ERP or Ecommerce
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Work without supervision with extensive latitude for independent judgment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Familiarity with XML required
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform post-sale technical implementation, including installation, upgrades, testing, and system configuration, while managing project progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct complex tasks independently with minimal supervision, using wide latitude for judgment, and consult with clients to understand their business objectives and operational needs.
- Keep customers and stakeholders informed of project progress, ensuring effective communication and resolution of scheduling issues.
- Maintain a high level of industry-specific business knowledge by staying current with emerging products and technical updates.
- Consult with clients to analyze and verify operational needs, understand clients’ business objectives and goals and anticipate needs of customer
- Provide and review solution design and configuration
- Handle complex EDI translations
- Must exhibit a curious expert mindset
