EDUCATION
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in life science, engineering or business.
- Advanced degree(s) and/or MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of relevant product management and/or strategic marketing experience in Lifesciences or related fields.
- 5+ years team leadership
- Track record of developing growth strategies for existing markets, new customer segments and assessing future potential.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to approach complex issues with strategic agility, fact-based analysis and effectively communicate and align recommendations.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to influence at all levels, build strong partnerships, and navigate matrixed situations.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work across geographies.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
Responsibilities:
- New Product Development: Focus on developing new service solutions through close partnership with Customers, Sales, Product Development, and Field Service. Build customer-centric product roadmaps grounded in defined customer requirements.
- Portfolio Management: Global ownership of a service portfolio with responsibility for lifecycle and profitability management. Regularly report out on portfolio performance to executive leadership within and across business units.
- Product Market Development: Analyze customer and market segmentation models, competitive analysis and historical performance to develop go-to-market models in partnership with Market Development, including market positioning and demand generation strategies to accelerate global growth.
- People Leadership: Inspire, influence, and empower employees across the matrix (both direct and indirect teams) to achieve objectives. Work within a highly-matrixed environment to move strategy to action.
- Operational Excellence: Take a disciplined approach to Marketing including, classical 4Ps approach, problem-solving frameworks to drive solutions and make the case for change. Improve current performance tracking and operational mechanisms.
