Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides 5th level of technical support for AutoZone stores concerning store system issues. Provide assistance and guidance to all the levels of support in the Store Technical Support team. Research and provide information to Development teams, Architects and IT Managers to find resolution for the store system issues; responsible for the development Store Technical Staff; might be responsible of 15+ staff teams if business needs demand it.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level of formal education: A Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
  • Area of study: Computer Science, programming, Information Technologies
  • Years of experience: Three to five years.
  • Type of experience: Technical Support/Customer Service, Technical Analyst II, AutoZone store or system Administrator Jr.
  • Special certifications or technical skills: Fluent in English and Spanish. LINUX, MS Office, MySQL, AutoZone Stores or Technical experience.
  • Other/preferred: Excellent communications skills, organizational skills, ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively research and provide information/feedback to the different levels of support; make recommendations for support when appropriate, including but not limited to technical troubleshooting processes and standards.
  • Documents resolutions, and provide feedback and maintain responsibility for the integrity, relevance and optimal communication of resolutions, resources and tools developed for or by the Store technical Support and Store DevOps or other areas of IT.
  • Proactively monitors, research and provide information/feedback to other IT groups regarding new software releases, their impact on production stores or fix releases to stores presenting system issues.
  • Proactively monitor drive/server failures, revires system logs to determinate cause of failures; performs activities, including but not limited to requesting reboot of servers, relocation of space, health checks and serves as first point of contact between the Store Technical Support and other functional areas of IT.
