Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Staff Developer on the Procurement team at Euna Solutions, you’ll be responsible for the success of our first-in-class business-to-government marketplace software. In this role you will leverage your experience to architect, design, advise, troubleshoot, lead, and support all technical aspects of our software and processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring we deliver quality, performant, cost-effective software at the fastest possible velocity.
Staff Developers in Euna Procurement work with product teams to design technical solutions and to ensure our platform will meet those needs. They work with the Dev Ops, Security, and IT departments to keep our system up-to-date and in compliance. They work with QA to ensure that QA efforts are in sync with our software goals and requirements. They lead triage efforts on major issues including performance, functionality/bugs, and system outages. They are also responsible for shaping and guiding our technical roadmap.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 2+ years of senior responsibility implementing and updating methodologies for production web apps, preferably for web apps at scale
  • 7+ years of technical experience
  • Subject matter expert in the current technical stack (React, NodeJS, MySQL) and/or the legacy stack (AngularJS, PHP)
  • Tuned into web security (e.g., you can explain XSRF, SQL injection, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

  • Familiarity with our DevOps stack (Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, AWS)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical planning with Senior Product Managers to design and spec large-scale features for our existing platform and new products.
  • Research, architect, and roll out technical implementations and infrastructure.
  • Lead by example in both attitude and in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, providing a strong reference of behaviors to emulate for Developers and Senior Developers.
  • Develop effective tests and metrics to ensure successful software delivery and monitor & analyze the real-time performance of our platform.
  • Own projects that may cross multiple teams/departments and lead the implementation, architecting for current and future success.
  • Develop high trust with developers, managers, product managers, and UX designers on estimates and where we’re going.
  • Own, manage, and prioritize our technical roadmap. This includes leading the technical planning and ensuring relevant stakeholders have the context of items on our technical roadmap and how those items deliver value to our clients.
  • Participate in the design and evaluation of development and PR review processes to establish best practices and to ensure the most efficient and effective software development possible.
  • Guarantee the health and integrity of all product-wide technologies and services including, but not limited to, database structure and consistency, application-level logging, login/single sign-on, developer environments, security/compliance, and deployments.
    Advise the Product Team on technical feasibility of projects and provide alternatives, especially in early discovery stages of project planning.
