KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Implement the strategic HR business plan for the Australasian business unit.

  • Develop bespoke plans for individual projects where appropriate and aligned to the overall Contract Mining vision.
  • Coach and mentor leaders and Human Resource Business Partners
  • Assist in the development, negotiation and implementation of relevant Enterprise Agreements
  • Manage formal grievance investigations and dispute resolution, as required
  • Manage applications submitted to FWC and where appropriate act on behalf of the company
  • In partnership with the Head of Human Resources Australia:
  • Assess the ongoing state of psychological safety within the Australian business unit.
  • Develop, implement and assess fit for purpose education programs for leaders and employees.
  • Review systems and processes which support safe and respectful workplaces
  • Drive robust diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and champion employee engagement, culture and wellbeing.
  • Facilitate the implementation of employee lifecycle activities within the business, including but not limited to remuneration and benefits, talent management and organisational development activities.
  • Support the company tendering processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• A tertiary qualification or significant professional working experience in a senior HR generalist role, preferably within the mining and/or resources sector.

  • Exceptional communicator with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to analyse data to determine performance and action.
  • Ability to influence and drive change.
  • Proven ability to apply knowledge of employment legislation, awards and agreements, policies and best practice.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects.
  • 6 years or more experience desirable

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources Australia this role is responsible for ensuring the HR strategy is embedded within the Australia business and is accountable for delivering high quality proactive HR guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders. This role will be heavily focussed on delivering cultural change programs that contribute to a safe and respectful workplace as well as supporting both local and site based teams in effective people management processes.
