The Supply Chain Management Consultant Medical Supply is responsible for providing strategic guidance and operational expertise in the planning, procurement, and distribution of medical supplies. With over 10 years of experience in management, particularly in the healthcare or medical supply field, the consultant will work closely with healthcare organizations to streamline their supply chain processes, ensure the timely availability of medical supplies, and optimize costs. This role plays a critical role in ensuring that healthcare facilities have the resources they need to provide quality patient care.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on the healthcare or medical supply sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Experience in procurement, inventory management, and vendor relations specific to medical supplies.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies for medical supplies, ensuring alignment with healthcare organization objectives.
  • Assess current supply chain operations and identify areas for improvement, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Manage procurement processes for medical supplies, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and quality assurance.
  • Provide expertise in inventory management, warehousing, and distribution to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages.
  • Collaborate with healthcare leaders to forecast demand and plan for future supply needs based on usage trends and emerging health demands.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards in supply chain management.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor supply chain performance, analyze trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on best practices in medical supply chain management.
