Description:

Join our team at Nokia in Tampere, Finland as a SW Engineer and make a real impact on the cellular network management system.
You will play a crucial role in developing software for our cellular network management system, specifically focusing on the configuration management application. You will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including feature specification, development, testing, and automation. This position requires strong coding skills in Java and the ability to write high-quality and clean software using agile methods and tools. You will be part of a diverse and multicultural team, working closely with experts in our in-house development team. Collaboration is key, as you will also be working with teams from different sites and professionals worldwide. You will:

  • Develop software for cellular network management system
  • Contribute to feature specification, development, testing and automation
  • Work in an international and multicultural environment
  • Write high quality and clean software using agile methods
  • Lead and execute technical activities in your own responsibility area
  • Write requirements, specifications, and other guiding documentation
  • Solve complex engineering problems in various technology areas
  • Coach other team members at solving complex engineering problems

We are doing product renewal so you have exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while also leveraging existing systems. Your expertise and previous experience will be valued, and you will have the autonomy to work on technical issues outside your own process area.

You have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering and excellent Java programming skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge in version control (Git/Gerrit)
  • Ability to write good quality, clean, test covered code and knowledge on software, testing at different levels, automation, testing tools
  • Experience with the Linux OS Environment and related tools
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Self-driven, seeking and implementing improvementsGood team player, but also an independent problem solver
