The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Ground Development and Mission Operations Division seeks a System Administrator to join the Space Domain Awareness and Space Superiority team located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience working in UNIX/Linux.
  • 1+ years of experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies and implementation.
  • One or more current DoD 8140 (previously 8570) IAT, Level II Certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience with scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with configuration management in Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Linux Certification: Red Hat Certified Engineer, Red hat System Administrator, or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC).
    Typical Education & Experience:
    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience, 9 years’ related work experience, etc.).
    Relocation:

    Summary pay range:91,800 – 124,200.

Responsibilities:

This position leads and maintains various Windows and Unix/Linux-based operating systems across multiple local area networks (LANs). You will be a member of our small team that has multiple LANs and Systems. You will have regular contact with customers, subcontractors, and teammates.

  • Coordinate all aspects of Windows or UNIX/Linux systems in operations, engineering, analysis, and test environments.
  • Develop and maintain Red LAN hardware and software resources within mission objectives for routine and non-routine operations.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and optimize system performance.
  • Support telephone and physical recall for system anomalies as the need arises.
  • Resolve operating system issues.
  • Develop disaster recovery procedures.
  • Document maintenance actions.

In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite at the customer location in Colorado Springs, CO.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartment Information (TS/SCI) security clearance and program access. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
