Join DHL Supply Chain’s growing team as we establish a new accounting hub in Budapest and oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the hub to support our business across the region.
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in accounting, as relevant to the role including managing (small) teams
- Ability to effectively communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, including managing (small) teams
- Experience with modern Finance/ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud
- IFRS knowledge
- Strong English knowledge (any other European language is a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Lead team of accountants/specialists in RTR (Record to Report)
- Collaborate closely with Country Operations, Country Finance, Controlling, and Shared
- Services teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support in audit reviews and lead process specialists in addressing escalation
- Manage the period-end and year-end closing schedules for the countries in scope
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial data and transaction processing
- Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts, fostering a culture of innovation
- Mentor and manage accountants and process specialists reporting to your role
- Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, other hubs, and shared service centers for seamless collaboration
- Perform accounting processes for your assigned processes, for example query handling, month-end, reconciliations of all balance sheets, fixed assets, or lease accounting
- Review and approving journals, assisting with technical IFRS accounting issues
