Responsibilities:

As a Technical Lead in the IT Department of Lombard International Assurance you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the organization’s infrastructure and applications.

You will share your time between:

  • Analysing Business needs and designing solutions in accordance with Architecture guidelines and strategy as well as best practice;
  • Technical support for development team;Development as part of one of our SCRUM Team.

  • You will work on the full lifecycle of projects/products from the design phase to ensure that Business requirements are correctly mapped to technical solutions, along the lifecycle of the products/software (development process, deployment, production …). With these objectives you will work closely with Business Analysts and Business Stakeholders during the design phase, support development teams during the development phase and then with DevOps and operations teams for the deployment and monitoring of products once running in production.

The Technical Lead is accountable for the following:

  • Lead and performing the technical analysis and development of projects based on business requirements and following our internal guidelines and procedures
  • Draft clear and detailed analysis and solution design documentation and schemas
  • Provide support to development team
  • Control that development and deployment processes are respected in order to guarantee the expected quality level
  • Ensure that architectural decisions and good practices are applied
  • Manage the follow up on a project from the design phase up to the run phase
  • Be a strong source of proposals for improvements in processes and tools as well as technologies and solutions
  • Be pragmatic and practical but also critical and able to challenge solution designs, always considering the full picture including Business Requirements as well as technical and regulatory constraintsContinuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest software development technologies and trends.
