The role
Technical Operations Centre Shift Lead
Location: Manchester - Office Based
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off ( 2 shifts, 7am-7pm, 2 shifts 7pm-7am)
The DCC is on the lookout for dynamic and highly skilled Technical Operations Shift Lead to join our critical Operations team. As a Shift Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the DCC’s systems, delivering optimal service with minimal downtime. You will lead, develop, and manage a growing team of 2-3 Technical Analysts, ensuring excellent service while collaborating with senior stakeholders and service providers.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a NOC or Telco environment, with a strong technical background in IT, Network, or Application support.
Proven leadership and performance management experience.
Expertise in ITIL frameworks, particularly Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
Analytical, focused, with a passion for continuous improvement.
Proficiency in SQL; knowledge of R, Elastic, AWS, and data analytics tools a plus.
Ability to mentor and support junior team members.

Responsibilities:
Manage, lead, and develop a small team of TOC Analysts.
Provide expert support in ITIL, IT Transformation, and Change Management.
Focus on Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) and problem-solving in a complex infrastructure.
Ensure high-level stakeholder management, escalating critical issues when needed.
Help monitor and optimize DCC systems and platforms, improving operational performance.
Act as a point of contact for senior management, customers, and external stakeholders.
