AD Energy is proudly collaborating with a leading global provider of solar & energy storage solutions. The Technical Product Manager will work in the prominent division of a Tier One Solar OEM, one of the world’s largest and most recognized providers of solar energy solutions!
Specialising in residential Solar and ESS systems, our client is dedicated to empowering homeowners with sustainable and efficient energy solutions through a variety of products via trusted wholesalers and installers.
The company offers cutting-edge solar panels, energy storage systems, and smart home integration technologies, pv inverters and mounting systems designed to maximize energy savings and reduce carbon footprints!

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in energy, power, electrical engineering, electronics or related field
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a technical support, technical services, technical product manager position
  • A strong understanding of solar energy storage systems, including battery technologies, inverters, and energy management software
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to solar energy and storage systems
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure successful technical service and product management
  • A very strong customer -centric approach; experience working directly with electrical and pv distributors and installers
  • A clear and diligent communication style. Ability to converse on technical matters well
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Adept in delivery of technical and product- related seminars and training to an audience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • A proactive nature- using own initiative when maintaining internal and external relationships
  • Experience providing technical sales support is highly advantageous
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, partners, and teams across the UK
  • Highly motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Responsibilities:

  • Possess a deep understanding of the complete product portfolio offered by the company: including solar module, PV inverter, Home ESS, battery, and mounting systems
  • Ensure product knowledge is well documented and accessible in resources
  • Provide comprehensive product training to installers to ensure proper installation procedures are followed
  • Offer real-time technical and product support to installers to resolve any installation issues they encounter
  • Occasionally provide on-site electrical- technical support during installations if necessary.
  • Maintain communicative and positive working relationships with channel partners, wholesalers, installers across the UK
  • Collaborate with the technical team at HQ to address and solve technical issues related to inverter and battery installations
  • Collate and escalate product feedback and technical concerns from business partners back to product management and R&D in headquarters
  • Develop and propose solar/ ess installation solutions to potential clients; advocate for the full product range and solution offering
  • Review UK solar installation regulations to ensure product compliance with the latest standards
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and use insights to guide technical and product matters
  • Monitor the service ticketing system and manage the service team to respond to inquiries from end-users and installers
  • Partner with the Sales team to attend solar exhibitions and industry trade shows to promote the company’s BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) products
  • Oversee the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) material stock and prepare necessary materials for repairing faulty inverters
  • Manage the refurbishment process for inverters to ensure they are restored to working condition
