JOB OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a skilled Unity Production Artist with a strong emphasis on scene building and storytelling for our innovative projects. The ideal candidate excels in creating procedural game scenes complete with logic, motion and comfortable working between Timeline, MonoBehaviours and Cinemachine. Proficiency in Unity is a must, particularly in managing the interplay between scene, project and addressables for DLC. We value candidates who can blend technical expertise with artistic abilities to create engaging moments for audiences. Talents in storytelling, previz, editing, screenwriting and film theory is crucial.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Unity editor and Content production.
  • Strong understanding of Unity C#
  • Expertise in creating and Editor Extensions and custom inspectors.
  • Experience working with mocap and keyframe character animation
  • Proficiency in film editing principles and their application to 3D animated sequences
  • Solid grasp of film theory, including narrative structure, pacing, and visual storytelling techniques

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Game development involving 3D characters, motion and scenes.
  • Experience shipping DLC updates to customers on a regular basis.
  • Knowledge of motion capture data integration, cleanup and motion editing.
  • Experience with performant algebraic expressions for procedural Unity workflows.
  • Familiarity with Python scripting and Geometry Nodes for advanced animation and scene manipulation in Blender
  • Understanding of how to creatively guide AI generation to achieve a desired outcome.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create animated 3D scenes using kitbash and clip motions in Unity that demonstrate strong storytelling and cinematic sensibilities.
  • Design and implement procedural techniques to modify and amplify scene events.
  • Develop engaging dynamic scenes that can be augmented for narrative impact
  • Set up and manage complex “scene rigging” for animated characters and objects to interact with.
  • Implement and fine-tune ragdoll physics simulations for dynamic character interactions
  • Apply film theory and editing principles to create cohesive and impactful animated sequences
  • Integrate AI tools and techniques to optimize workflow and enhance creative output
  • Familiarity with Unity addressables, packages and managing the integration of production art DLC with runtime applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and Proceduralize Unity scenes for deployment of studio content catalog
  • Create general 3D content for conditioning training
