YOUR SKILLS
- Apprenticeship or a completed scientific university degree in chemistry, material science, or a comparable field of study
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in the field of polymer/material science, and/or organic chemistry
- Passion for sustainable technologies (circular, e.g. bio-based raw materials) and defossilisation of Henkel´s raw material portfolio
- Interest in experimental work in a modern, application-oriented research and development environmentand the desire to implement your own ideas in new technical solutions
- Structured way of working, high level of independence and diligence
- Team-oriented working style, including cross-functional collaborations and teams
- Fluent in German and good English language skills

Responsibilities:
- Development of raw materials and formulations, by using especially biomass-derived chemicals suitable for adhesives, sealants and coatings
- Prepare and carry out organic/polymer syntheses in the laboratory
- Planning, conducting, and documenting laboratory experiments with a pronounced “hands-on” mentalityTest and analyse development (preliminary) products for various strategic business units
- Scale-up and transfer of laboratory processes in close cooperation with all interfaces (e.g. production)Supports technology transfers to various functions e.g. product development, application engineering and other customer facing teams
