The Faculty of English is seeking to appoint a fixed-term (2 years) full time Timetabling and Teaching Support Officer. You will play a key and senior role in the Faculty’s administrative team at a time of significant change, with responsibility for all arrangements for teaching in the Faculty, including gathering and collating information to produce the annual lecture list and timetable, overseeing the process for recording lectures, and managing the Virtual Learning Environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of the Faculty’s teaching to the Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities in late summer 2025, and will play an active role in the development of building-wide processes for timetabling and room bookings.
This is an interesting role providing an excellent opportunity for career progression within higher education administration. You will have strong organisational skills, and the ability and enthusiasm to develop and implement new administrative systems and processes. Previous experience of working in higher education is desirable. You will need to be able to manage your own time and take initiative in some areas and will have excellent communication and IT skills.
This post is available as soon as possible, for a fixed term contract until 30 September 2026.
