About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide the services as needed to support the delivery of the Building Services required to maintain service delivery capability of the facilities represented. This is to be achieved through compliance with the Metro North Values, and adherence to all prescribed systems and processes.
About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:

  • Manage own leave balances to ensure at all times that Annual Leave entitlements held do not surpass 6 weeks of accrued leave without approval from the Manager BEMS.
  • Position will be required to work a mix of inside core hours service delivery, outside core hours delivery and rotating on call 24/7 roster to meet the requirements of the facilities.
  • Ensure all Planned Maintenance work orders have required service reports attached as evidence of completion. Discuss defects identified with Trade Manager and assist in compilation of corrective works required to ensure equipment / items inspected remain in a serviceable condition. This includes completion of all paper based and electronic records.
  • Keep designated areas of responsibility clean and clean up after all jobs.
  • As required or requested provide assistance with technical reports in the event of incidents, supply issues, equipment failures, department performance or any other reason requiring specialist review. Reports are to focus on root cause and detail recommendations / advice to improve outcomes and prevent reoccurrence.
