Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for a Traffic Management Designer to join our team based in Wellington. You will be our stakeholder liaison on critical projects to ensure that planned methodologies are communicated to road users and ensure the effective utilisation of Traffic Management resources.
The Traffic Management Designer is responsible for the detailed design and submission of Traffic Management Plans, ensuring the successful completion of projects and contract works. This role involves designing traffic controls tailored to specific worksites and activities, assessing risks to both workers and the public, and developing the most effective controls to maintain safety and efficiency for all parties involved.
Day to day you will also be:
- Producing Traffic Management Plans for both internal teams and our clients
- Managing the Service Request system ensuring quality and accuracy
- Understanding our forward workload and aligning traffic management planning to enable our business
- Participating in the production of project/contract methodology, budgets and programmes for maintenance contracts and projects
- Co-ordinating with multiple teams and organisations across a mutli-discipline business

You will excel at being busy and enjoy daily challenges where no two days are the same. You will need excellent attention to detail and organisational ability. You will also need some of the following:
- At least 2 years of Experience with traffic management and prior planning background (Must)
- Proficient with Traffic Management Design software (Rapid Plan, Rapid Path, AutoCAD) (Beneficial)
- TTMP Planning Warrant (or equivalent unit standards) (Beneficial)
- STMS A/B/C-NP Warrants (or equivalent unit standards) (Must)
