Walmart Commerce Technologies’ mission is to enable businesses worldwide to better serve their customers with technologies and SaaS solutions powered by Walmart. Our team was established in 2022 and we are transforming scaled Walmart technologies into white-label offerings for other retailers and sellers. We’ve launched Store Assist, an out-of-the box, mobile-first store fulfillment application and are accelerating our pipeline of future products.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Walmart Commerce Technologies team you will have the opportunity to work on commercializing mature enterprise systems and enabling them for retailers. You will build a new SaaS product and ensure engineering excellence.
As an experienced engineer you will have the chance to influence technical strategy for this new product and mentor more junior engineers. This is a great opportunity for career development!

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10649:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-08479:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00










Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS…

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year’s experience in software engineering or related area., We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your craft to build clear and easy to use front-end interfaces for our customers.
  • Contribute to the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing and documentation.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and develop new features and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build and improve the product.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior engineers on the team and promote best practices across the team.
  • Ensure software systems are reliable, scalable and high-performing while troubleshooting issues when they arise.
