Video creation is critical to our company for our team members and customers. The Brick has been producing in-house video content for nearly 20 years! Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning and Development, the Videographer/Editor position is responsible for all internal video production activities for learning, communications, team engagement, as well as providing general creative support to the larger Human Resources team and Brick corporate, retail, distribution, and fleet employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of video projects including: training videos, internal communications, highlight videos, special occasion videos, etc.
  • Projects involve planning, shooting, editing, graphics production, and final delivery in both French and English. Will work closely with the company translator
  • Work closely with others in the company to plan and schedule production needs
  • Set up, shoot, and tear down productions including lights, camera, audio, and teleprompter both in and out of the studio as well as for recordings and livestreams
  • Lighting, shooting, and processing of green-screen footage
  • Patience while directing untrained talent for professional results
  • Capture high-quality audio with wired and wireless equipment
  • Knowledge of media formats for Internet delivery
  • Be organized with assets and proficient with archiving
  • Collaborate on and develop new video-based projects for both learning and communication purposes
  • Projects involve planning, shooting, editing, graphics production, captions and final delivery in English and French (working closely with the company translator)

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Post-secondary education in a video/digital media program
  • Prior work experience shooting and editing

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Experience with writing and editing scripts
  • Experience with video production equipment (Professional Camcorders and Digital Cine Cameras, lights, audio devices, etc.)
  • Proficient with nonlinear video editing applications (We prefer Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including but not limited to Word & Excel and other Internet cloud and social media platforms
  • Valid driver’s license with transportation – some of our filming is off-site in our various locations
  • Ability to travel – some of our filming projects require travel locally and country-wide
