Description:

Trisian-Global Consulting is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator for a contract for hire opportunity in Memphis, TN. This position is on-site.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school or two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-5 years experience in agricultural commodity warehousing or logistics; or equivalent industry experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize workloads and perform multiple tasks that might have conflicting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees as well as outside parties to communicate expectations and make recommendations to facilitate change.
  • Self-directed with a high sense of urgency and strong bias for action in a highly dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience and effectiveness to work in cross-cultural and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Broad range of computer skills including functional knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Microsoft Access, OneNote, SharePoint and Power BI will be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of supply chain dimensions domestic trucking, other transportation modes, warehousing, freight forwarding and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of supervisors or employees, and apply common sense and problem solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and compile records for all inbound and outbound shipment activities for local warehouses
  • Compare identifying information, counts and weights of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against Bills of Lading, invoices, orders or other records.
  • Post weights and shipping charges, key into computer as to appropriate customer.
  • Record shortage and damage on loads. Correspond with customer to rectify damages and shortages. Adjust complaints concerning billing or services rendered.
  • Ensure shipment meets specifications of accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain inventory,
  • Prepare invoices and bills of lading, lists weight and identifying number of load, plus additional certification billing.
  • Input and retrieve data from the computer. Read computer files and gather records to compile needed data.
  • Process job orders to determine work priorities.
  • Perform clerical duties including relieving at the switchboard.
