Job Description
We are currently seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join our team in Ballytivnan Sligo to support AbbVie Ballytivnan Biologics and Medical Device Business Units. This person will lead the warehouse and logistics function for our site, to ensure adequate resources are in place to meet the needs of the business.

This role will involve:

  • This position has a direct impact on AbbVie’s ability to meet short and long termbusiness objectives.
  • The person in this position must manage material and personnel resources in support of successful new product launches and on-going assurance of supply for AbbVie and non-AbbVie clients.
  • Ensure that all personnel are fully trained and that all tasks are executed in compliance with safety and quality procedures and policies.
  • Manage the team to ensure the timely and accurate receipt of materials onto SAP and storage in warehouses.
  • Ensure the timely supply of all direct material requirements for manufacturing.
  • Ensure that all outgoing shipments are prepared correctly and shipped in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders to organize inbound, outbound shipments and ensure trade compliance.
  • Maintain all warehousing areas including freezers and refrigerators in a state of compliance with cGMP and audit readiness at all times.
  • Oversight of recycling and waste management activities in conjunction with EHS.
  • Adhere to and supports all EHS & E standards, procedures and policies.
  • Manage change control of Supply Chain procedures and documents.
  • Develop, measure and report key departmental performance measurements.
  • Lead and implement any continuous improvement productivity and strategic projects for warehouse function.
  • This position involves collaboration with many other functional groups within the site and in the extended supply chain, including customers, suppliers, senior management, technical, planning and commercial functions.
  • The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is a key member of the wider management team at the site and as such will be a contributor to multiple site initiatives and to the development of the organization.
  • Contributes to Talent Management of teams within the organisation and to the development of the team to meet evolving business needs.
  • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of data to stakeholders to support prompt informed decisions on various issues of relevance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a business or technical discipline is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of S4Hana WM & IM modules.
  • Extensive supply chain experience (5+ years) in a regulated industry with detailed knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements relating to Med Device, Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Qualification and handling of dangerous goods, customs clearance.
  • Supports the principles of metric driven performance.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
