Job Description
The student will have the opportunity of working in the CIMA+ Labrador City office reporting to the project engineers and project managers on both greenfield and brownfield projects. The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.
PRIMARY RESPONSABILITIES
- Complete site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield heavy industrial projects
- Assist in Civil/Structural detailed design / analysis (related to General Arrangements, structural steel, reinforced concrete, equipment anchoring, etc) for heavy industrial sites
- Be involved in detailed drawing reviews and mark-up for designers / drafters
- Work with engineers to produce construction documents, such as scope of work, bill of materials, and schedules
- Be involved in projects from Kick-off through completion of Construction / Commissioning
QUALIFICATIONS
- Student presently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively
- A valid Canadian Driver’s License is required
- Passing pre-hire fitness for work (i.e. medical test)
