Job Description
You will be working in the CIMA+ Labrador City office reporting to the project engineers and the project manager on both greenfield and brownfield projects. The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student currently enrolled in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively
  • Valid current Canadian Driver’s License is required
  • Passing pre-hire fitness for work (i.e. medical test)

Responsibilities:

  • Complete site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield heavy industrial projects
  • If electrical profile: Assist in electrical detailed design / analysis (related to electrical layouts, single line diagrams, connection/ wiring drawings, load calculations, etc.) for major utility/industrial clients.
  • If mechanical profile: Assist in Mechanical detailed design / analysis (related to General Arrangements, piping, HVAC, custom equipment / vessels, rotating machinery, etc) for heavy industrial sites
  • Participate in detailed drawing review and mark-up for designers / drafters.
  • Produce construction documents, such as scope of work, bill of materials, and schedules
  • Complete projects from Kick-off through completion of Construction / Commissioning
