Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our People Operations team is central to Super Retail Group’s commitment to a positive people experience. As the ‘engine room,’ we provide agile support to leaders and team members throughout the employee lifecycle, from hire to retire. As custodians of employee master data, we ensure that Super Retail Group meets all legislative and regulatory compliance obligations.
As the Workforce Compliance Lead, you will enhance our workforce compliance framework, ensuring robust process controls and optimisations that enable effective reporting and governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regulatory Expertise and Oversight: Serve as a subject matter expert across various compliance areas, including immigration, employment standards, and industry-specific awards. Proactively monitor legislative and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain detailed, comprehensive process documents outlining SRG’s compliance obligations, ensuring they are accurate, current, and accessible.
  • System Optimisation: Continuously review and enhance system functionalities to eliminate manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce compliance errors.
  • Compliance Documentation and Risk Management: Create and maintain a Compliance Register capturing all relevant data, including employment agreements, compliance obligations, associated risks, and control measures. Develop action plans to address any gaps.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing reviews of internal compliance processes and external contracts to enhance efficiency and reduce non-compliance risks.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop robust compliance policies.
  • Content Creation and Management: Regularly update the knowledge base with the latest compliance legislation changes and internal procedures, including guides, process diagrams, policy updates, and FAQs.
