We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Workers and Program Assistants to become part of our Youth and Families team.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of or progression towards certificate IV in Youth Work/Community Services and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Working with Children Check
- Current driver’s licence
- Current First Aid qualification
- Current National Police clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
The City is seeking expressions of interests for various casual positions withing our Youth and Families team. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed and ongoing basis. Responsibilities:
Youth Worker:
- Work individually or as part of a team assisting Senior Youth Workers in developing and implementing a range of programs, activities and services for young people.
- Participate with and supervise young people in positive, passive and active youth activities.
Families Program Assistant:
- Assist with planning and running programs and events for young families.
- Assists with monitoring and evaluating programs and events.
- Work independently with limited supervision within a community setting.
