Description

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • Strong practical experience in maintenance of vessels, piping, valves, relief valves, rotating equipment (i.e. compressors, pumps, blowers, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Recognizes health, safety and environmental hazards and suggests means of eliminating or controlling these hazards.
  • Has good interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by the work.
  • Experience in turnaround work with major refineries or petrochemical plants.
  • Possesses at forklift operator certification as per MOM requirements.
  • Possess all relevant mandatory safety certifications (e.g. AWSHPP, confined space, rigger&signalman, work at height, etc.)

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

  • Relevant trade certificate with at least 5 years working experience in major chemical or oil & gas industries.

Responsibilities

Primarily involved in Rotating job tasks with secondary responsibility in supporting static tasks as and when required. Perform assigned tasks safely, effectively, efficiently and with high quality. Lead team of general fitters and/or workers in site mechanical maintenance and supports activities (static/ rotating) as and when required.

Major duties shall include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Execute assigned rotating/static maintenance activities.
  • Record readings and test / inspection results on completed tasks.
  • Participate in task risk assessments prior to execution of scheduled activities.
  • Participate in safety tool-box discussions, safety audits / inspections.
  • Participate in investigations on any safety and quality incident or non-compliance.
  • Ready to support during emergency per Client’s mergency response plan
