We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Ward Clerk/Receptionist to join our Ward 34 team specialising in Diabetes and Endocrinology within the medicine division.
YOU MUST:
Have the ability to manage an ever-changing fast paced workload.
Have excellent communication skills.
Be able to manage and prioritise your workload.
Have customer care experience
Have IT skills
A willingness to learn
Be able to commit to working long days and weekends
We will provide you with a complete induction and support continuing development through yearly appraisals.
If you have the drive to provide an excellent patient experience and an enthusiasm for personal and service development within a clinical setting we are waiting to hear from you.
To assist patients in their visit to ward/unit by providing a warm and friendly reception service, collecting accurate and appropriate data from them and providing advice and assistance to ensure a smooth visit for all patients who attend the ward.
To assist the nursing staff in the management of the patient’s stay by carrying out the following:
Initiating the Nursing Records system and preparation of the patient’s identity band
Preparing medical certificates for patients as required
Arranging diagnostic tests
The arranging of ambulance transport, as directed by the Nursing Staff
Arranging follow up outpatient appointments on discharge from the ward/unit
