Embark on a journey within the Leveraged and Project Finance (LPF) Team under CIB – Global Structured Finance. The team provides strategic advice on debt structuring, leads credit requests through in-depth analysis and negotiations, and partners closely with internal and external stakeholders through to disbursement for existing and prospective clients. Job vacancy: Leveraged and Project Finance Associate Job Family: Customer Relationship Enablement Career level: Professional Advisory The Associate plays a crucial role in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of financing solutions for project and leverage finance transactions. This position involves detailed financial analysis, modelling, and due diligence to support investment decisions and financing strategies. In this role you will; Develop and review detailed financial models to assess project viability, including cash flow projections, IRR calculations, and sensitivity analyses; Conduct thorough financial analyses to evaluate potential risks and returns associated with financing options; Assist in conducting comprehensive due diligence on projects, including market analysis, operational assessments, and financial reviews; Gather and analyse data from various sources to prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients; Prepare credit memoranda and presentation materials for the team; Support the preparation and reviewing of term sheets, loan agreements, and other financing documents related to financing; Work closely with cross-functional teams, including coverage, legal, risk management, syndication, sustainable finance, and operations, to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and compliant; Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to Leads, Senior Leads and Management; Monitor market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes affecting financing in relevant sectors; Provide insights and recommendations based on market research to support strategic decision-making; Assist in the execution of financing transactions, coordinating with lenders, investors, and other parties; Participate in meetings and negotiations as needed to discuss financing structures and terms. We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of: EITHER: Degree in Banking/Accounting & Finance/Economics/Law or in a numerate degree (e.g. Engineering, Maths) and/or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CFA); 1-3 years of working experience in financial analysis and/or credit analysis, preferably in the banking industry with exposure to project finance, investment banking, corporate finance, deal advisory or a similar role; A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACA) is an added advantage. OR: 5 years of working experience in financial analysis and/or credit analysis, preferably in the banking industry with exposure to project finance, investment banking, corporate finance, deal advisory or a similar role .
