Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support engineering platforms and microservices that power critical applications for modernizing data usage across multiple federal customers. This is a Hybrid role based in Annapolis Junction, MD, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and containerized environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 9+ years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering/Administration or related fields.
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
  • Active Security+ or other 8570-compliant certification.
  • Strong experience with PaaS environments.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Linux operating systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Hands-on experience with automated infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Expertise in AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
  • Experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes using Helm, Kustomize, and custom manifests.
Responsibilities
  • Develop infrastructure and automate tasks using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Provision and manage services in AWS and other commercial cloud platforms.
  • Patch, harden, and maintain RHEL systems to ensure compliance.
  • Install, configure, and optimize Kubernetes, Docker, NiFi, and cloud metrics tools.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment using GitLab.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
