- Job Description In your new role you will: Day to day technical support and administration task for databases, as well as support in complex troubleshooting Install and configure new databases along with monitoring and backup solutions Provide 2nd tier response, analysis and resolution planning for dated issues and seek appropriate solution for issues Day to day operation task such as incident management & change management Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tuning on databases Initiate and follow-up on critical vendor technical support requirements Document system processes and procedures, continuous improvement of processes and documentation in alignment with senior engineers Maintaining, upgrade, enhance current databases globally - ensure proper lifecycle of the service provided Liaise with application groups and datacenter teams on various projects and other system support requirements e.g. Preventive maintenance activities Provide training to new team members Your Profile You are best equipped for this task if you have: Minimum degree holder Minimum 5 years of related experience Experience in Oracle/MySQL/MSSQL/PostgreSQL database administration Experience in UNIX / Windows server environment is essential Knowledge in software development with web technologies (e.g. python, Shell, PHP, javascript, REST).
