The Opportunity
Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Marketing Accountant. This is a full-time position based at our Calgary Head Office. The Marketing Accountant will report to the Director, Marketing Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Management
Create, verify, and send marketing-related invoices (e.g., NGL and sulphur)
Verify pricing components
Volume reconciliation
Revenue & Settlement
Reconcile purchaser statements and validate revenue
Resolve missing payments and discrepancies
Manage accounts receivable in Qbyte
Reporting & Compliance
Submit price and export reports to provincial and federal governments
Internal asset reporting via Power BI
Forecasting & Analysis
Prepare accruals and Accrual to Actual analysis monthly
Coordinate forecasting for crude oil, NGL, and sulphur industry settlements
Ideal Candidate
Strong spreadsheet skills
Understanding oil and gas accounting would be an asset
Experience with Financial systems like Qbyte & Open Invoice would be an asset
Attention to detail and analytical thinking
Ability to collaborate across departments
1-2 years of industry experience preferred
