The ideal candidate understands the "big picture" of communications for a social justice organization, and is responsible for planning how digital messaging, public relations, and traditional communications are shared with various audiences. Principal Responsibilities and Duties: In cooperation with the Senior Director of Marketing and Development, plan, manage and set the strategic direction of YWCA Tulsa’s marketing and communications for Programs, Fundraising and Community Support, and organizational goals in support of the mission. Devise and implement the strategy, messaging, and tools needed to build the brand and increase the visibility of the organization. Develop and maintain a communications calendar that enables a steady cadence for proactive storytelling to multiple audiences. Collaborate with the Development Team to support fundraising campaigns and initiatives creating dynamic and engaging content to build donor loyalty, convey program goals, and engage diverse audiences. Build multi-channel communications programs leveraging, as appropriate, both external and internal platforms, including press releases for media coverage, social media platforms, email and print materials. Lead news releases and all media relations. Manage press conferences and press coverage at all organization events. Design and create all content for YWCA Tulsa website, social media channels, and print materials. Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to drive engagement through search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, and web content. Foster a cohesive, organizational look, feel, and tone across individual initiatives and campaigns. This includes overseeing development, management, and production of organizational marketing materials and assets and ensuring consistency of design standards, quality, and tone. Align and integrate the communications objectives of all teams within the organization, through partnership and planning. Prepare a quarterly report for Board of Directors and Senior Leadership reviewing Marketing and Communications goals and KPIs. Build-out library of YWCA Tulsa photo and video content that showcase our programs, clients, and staff. Collect and collate client success and organizational stories highlighting the social justice work and impact Purchase and design all YWCA branded materials for promotional purposes. Manage external events calendar and track all branded materials and signage needed and purchased for all external events. Document all internal and external events using photos and video or coordinate with program teams to capture them. In partnership with CEO, and Facilities teams ensure all internal and external signage, photos, and artwork in YWCA’s physical spaces reflect the YWCA brand, and are clear, welcoming, and inclusive. Use a data-driven approach to inform ongoing strategy and maximize the impact of communications initiatives; provide ongoing reporting of metrics tied to initiatives. Continually review and update communications policies, procedures, and best practices; stay current with communications trends and technological advances. Supervise part-time direct report and freelance resources; work in close partnership with other members of the organization. Performs related duties, as required. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent creativity, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential. Experienced photographer/videographer, adept at using visual medium for storytelling.
