The Marketing and Research is to conduct and complete both marketing information and research to support sales activities.
The Marketing Research is to increase Reagan Outdoor Advertising sales by improving effectiveness of individual Account Executives by providing marketing support, local business knowledge and aid individual Account Executives by providing client specific marketing and media information.
Reporting directly to the General Sales Manager and Managing Director. This position requires time management skills, project management skills, analytical skills, ability to convert data into meaningful reports and generate media plans. Understanding of advertising metrics (CPM, GRP, Impressions) is a plus. Person must have high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and math.
Develop understanding and mastery of media planning and demographic research tools (Nielsen, Scarborough), to discover advantages for Reagan and companies enlisting in Reagan’s services.
Works with Managing Director and Sales Managers to generate marketing materials, creative selling tools, incentives, and promotional themes/programs in line with annual sales agenda & goals.
Prepares targeted client presentations including research, media mix or media plan, and creative examples, to address client’s unique marketing objectives in collaboration with Account Executives and Sales Managers.
Create, maintain and organize both electronic and printed marketing materials for sales use.
Update website with great client creative, marketing research and more.
Participates in company training and other meetings and events as directed.
Perform special assignments as requested.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
College level degree in marketing, business management, sales marketing or related fields.
Computer experience with both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Also, a working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat is beneficial.
Read and write concise, persuasive business correspondence and marketing materials.
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks & projects efficiently.
Basic understanding and navigation skills working with internet-based CRM program.
Excellent speaking & communication skills; experience in dealing with communication of all levels including large and small groups, clients, corporate executives, employees, etc.
Understanding of advertising media and how to position selling features and benefits advantages of outdoor media in the context of its competition.
Working knowledge of marketing research platforms: Kantar, Arbitron, Nielsen, Scarborough, Media Audit, Scad and/or ability to interpret research data to develop compelling sales story.
Integrity in dealing with confidential matters, clients, competitors and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated leadership & project management skills with ability to exercise judgment and make independent decisions.
Ability to understand and calculate basic mathematical equations - including business math.
Valid Driver’s license.
