CentraState Healthcare System is seeking an Staff Accountant. Staff Accountant performs statistical and accounting duties for assigned entities of CentraState Healthcare System.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains daily activity of cash receipts, transfer of funds from insurance providers and other banking reports.
• Prepares analysis of all cash accounts for the Medical Center, communicates with patient department to resolve discrepancies and ensures that monthly journal entries are recorded.
• Prepares analysis and weekly summaries of sales receipts for CentraStar and Liberty Cafes. Journalizes and prepares monthly sales tax return.
• Prepares and maintains the monthly accrued liabilities and supporting schedules for the Medical Center.
• Prepares accurate bank reconciliations by investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepares accurate analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts as well as inter-company reconciliations for Centrastate Medical Center.
• Maintains and prepares the monthly intercompany reconciliation schedules for all entities in the system.
• Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and within the necessary time frames.
• Assists where needed in annual budget preparation for Centrastate Healthcare System
• Prepares audit schedules as needed in accordance with external audit time frames
• Assists Controller and VP Finance with reports and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• 3 Years Accounting in a Healthcare Facility desired
• Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
