Description The Communications Specialist (CS) supports the Communications Director in daily communications operations. This role helps to coordinate messaging and branding across all platforms (digital, print, advertising, etc.), prepares reports, writes and proofreads content for accuracy and consistency. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of the communications industry and is detail oriented, works well with a team and is eager to work to support DESC’s communications strategy. Requirements DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Draft and reviews social media content, newsletters, blog copy, etc. Assists with media buying, creative writing and logistics Compiles and maintains multiple lists Provides onsite event support Coordinates photographer and videographer requests Assists with website maintenance Assists with media relations and media monitoring Supports employer-focused communications Assists with communications related metrics Supports visual identity This role would: Write long-lead social media copy, content that is consistent and part of a larger campaign messaging.
