To work in a 34 bedded Care Home with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of clients in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes their independence. To help in the care of the care users’ physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the home. Shifts are a mix of 7.30-15.00 and 15.00-22.00, Monday to Sunday.
SUMMARY
As a Care Assistant, you will be essential in providing compassionate support to individuals in a Care Home. Reporting to the Care Manager, your role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of clients. Your core skills in personal care and communication will be vital, while your premium skills in driving and familiarity with care plans will enhance service delivery. With a focus on empathy and professionalism, you will contribute significantly to improving the quality of life for those you support.

Help care users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities such as incontinence. Set tables and trays; serve meals; feed residents who need help; prepare light meals and wash up; tidy and clear the dining room. Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of care users through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.Fully participate in preventative measures with regards Infection Control Policies and procedures. Take part in staff and residents’ meetings and also in training activities as required.Make and change beds; tidy rooms and do light cleaning. Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone; greet visitors.
