The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting wireless and fiber internet service equipment for our residential and commercial clients. This role requires a mix of technical prowess, customer service skills, and hands-on experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Installation: * * Install fiber or wireless internet equipment including but not limited to antennas, routers, and cables. * Conduct site surveys to determine the optimal placement of equipment for the best signal strength and customer satisfaction. * Configure and test newly installed equipment to ensure optimum performance and compliance with company standards. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: * * Respond to service calls to diagnose and resolve any connectivity or equipment issues. * Perform regular maintenance checks on installed equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly. * Replace or upgrade outdated, or malfunctioning equipment as required. Customer Service: * * Educate customers on the proper use of equipment, potential issues, and basic troubleshooting steps. * Address any concerns or queries that customers might have in a courteous and professional manner. * Report feedback from clients to improve service quality and efficiency. Documentation & Reporting: * * Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and customer interactions. * Report any identified issues or trends that might impact service quality or customer satisfaction. Team Collaboration: * * Work closely with other technicians and the customer service team to ensure seamless service delivery. * Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest industry trends and equipment. Qualifications: * * High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in a related field is a plus such as Industrial Electricity, Electronics and Network Engineering * Previous experience in a fiber and wireless telecommunications field is preferred will look at candidates with other relevant experience. * Strong understanding of wireless and fiber technologies, routers, and networking a plus * Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on-site. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. * Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights (using ladders, lift equipment, etc.). * Able to work flexible hours; will require participation in on-call rotation. * Physical capability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
