Our Team has a wealth of expertise on investment funds, corporate, M&A, banking, finance, capital markets, tax, and intellectual property and technology, applying sound commercial judgment to client’s legal and final decisions. We advise international clients on cross border deals with the benefits of the Luxembourg broad range, business oriented legal and tax toolkit.
Interns at DLA Piper are given real responsibilities, supporting our clients wherever they operate around the world. You will have the chance to learn through practical work and observation in a truly global firm, giving you an outstanding breadth of legal knowledge, as well as the practical skills that will stay with you for your entire career.
You will also be fully involved in our pro bono and knowledge activities. You will have the opportunity to interact with other DLA Piper offices and experience our “One Team, No Borders” way of working, to improve and test your technical legal skills internationally.
We are offering 6-month Internships starting from January 2026.
This internship role is for a fixed term. It is not a Bar traineeship role.
Main duties and responsibilities
DLA Piper is one of the most widely recognized providers of a full range of commercial, intellectual property law, privacy, sourcing and technology law services for leading businesses worldwide. Intellectual property and technology law is at the core of any major business transaction or strategic dispute and has become one of the most critical legal areas as companies continue to expand and protect their technologies, brands, products, data and services around the globe.
Our team works on high profile and complex mandates for both major users and suppliers of technology related services, as well as more general commercial work and large scale data protection and privacy matters. Clients range from larger retail and investment banks, airlines, retail groups, telcos, FTSE 100 companies and IT/outsourcing service providers.
The workload is varied and includes contentious and non-contentious advice on intellectual property, data protection (including GDPR implementation), large scale outsourcing projects, cloud and digital transformation and services contracts.
The successful Intern would ideally be involved in a broad spread of work, including major outsourcing projects, cloud services arrangements, commercial projects, data privacy and security advice and projects, and various IT, telco and technology related matters.
