As an engineering project manager, you will balance both technical and project management responsibilities.  This will involve interfacing directly with clients, stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to effectively manage project deliverables, with a focus on quality and team collaboration. In terms of execution of the work, you will be responsible for coordinating drawing production, report preparation, and design management.  The opportunity is to lead the successful delivery of projects at all phases (planning, design, tendering, construction, maintenance) through conformance to Stantec’s Project Management Framework. You will apply your professional consulting abilities to lead design tasks, prepare proposal documents, and take responsible charge of work products. The scope of your role will require a variety of office and field tasks, which may include: planning, preliminary design, detailed design, tender/construction support, project controls, proposal writing, and quality management. You will have the opportunity to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions working alongside an award winning design team in order to deliver exciting projects.  An ability to maintain the big picture throughout the design process and take responsibility for meeting client expectations in a dynamic environment will help build a long-lasting career at Stantec Your Key Responsibilities * Managing engineering projects at all stages including planning, preliminary design, detailed design, tender/construction support and maintenance. * Working and building relationships with clients to effectively deliver projects and grow the team’s business. * Performs structural engineering design and review tasks on assigned port and marine structures related projects. * Perform & review calculations along with structural analysis and modeling. * Lead the preparation of engineering project documents including drawings, reports, specifications and costs estimates, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. * Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions. * Utilizes relevant software programs including SAP2000 to prepare analysis, design, and complex working drawings. * Lead all aspects of the project which may require meeting with clients, contractors, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and reviewing agency personnel. * Lead meetings to review project and proposal milestones, confirm resource needs, review client expectations, facilitate inter-office work collaboration, and plan team building activities. * Lead the preparation proposal documents including scope/schedule/fee resourcing plans. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
