REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 – 10 years of experience in engineering roles related to gas, chemical, or water waste systems.
• Strong expertise in engineering calculations, equipment selection, and detailed design development.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM), risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering design software is preferred.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Conduct and review engineering calculations for equipment sizing, material selection, and system design.
• Lead the development of detailed design documents, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layouts.
• Oversee and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of gas, chemical, and water waste systems into overall project designs.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for gas and chemical systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to enhance safety and reliability.
• Evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design and implementation.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication, ensuring successful project execution.
• Collaborate with procurement and vendors to assess equipment specifications, cost analysis, and supplier qualifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges, implementing best practices for system optimization.Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
