Coordination with Authorities & Stakeholders Act as the main point of contact with tax authorities during objection and appeal processes. Provide formal responses to authority requests for clarifications or additional documentation. Coordinate with internal departments (procurement, finance, logistics, legal) for evidence gathering. 4. Documentation & Record Management Maintain a complete repository of objection cases, supporting documents, and legal references. Ensure proper filing of all communication with tax authorities. Develop standardized templates for objection submissions and documentation. 5. Risk Management & Compliance Identify the root causes of tax exposures leading to objections. Recommend process improvements to prevent recurring tax disputes. Ensure the company remains compliant with updated tax regulations. Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field. Preferred certifications: CPA, CA, CMA, CTA, or equivalent legal/tax credential. Experience 5–8+ years of experience in indirect tax, tax litigation, objections, or audit defense. Strong exposure to VAT frameworks in the GCC region is an advantage. Proven track record of managing tax objections with authorities. Skills & Competencies In-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws (VAT, excise, customs). Strong legal interpretation and drafting skills for objections and appeals. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Detailed-oriented with strong analytical skills.
