JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer is responsible for the overall project execution based on 3 key components – Quality, Delivery and Cost. He/she needs to ensure that the projects managed are able to meet the quality of the project specification, delivered on time and improve the book margins.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics or engineering/project related.3 years of experience in working with EPC, contractors, tendering/bid management etc.

TRAVEL & WORK ARRANGEMENTS/REQUIREMENTS

• Office-based, including travel to project sites

• Review technical specification for solutionizing work and prepare tender proposal including concept drawing, simple control philosophy and general layout of the system for the sales.
• Evaluate the tender drawing such as architectural and structural drawing, system P&ID, Single Line Drawing.
• Respond to technical queries from the clients and clarify matter pertaining to the tender offer.
• Review contract, technical specifications, and drawings upon receiving the Purchase Order (PO).
• Prepare the construction schedule to meet the contract deadline.
• Develop and prepare the Request for Quote (RFQ) to procurement team and assist to evaluate the technical competency of the contractor to fulfil the technical aspect of the supply.
• Design and submit the construction documents and drawings for approval.
• Timely submission of the cost report to the Project Manager leader for review.
• Monitor the performance of the site team to ensure all critical milestones are met.
• Develop mitigation plan if the site progress is behind schedule or critical paths are not met.
• Ensure all staff comply with the safety regulations.
• Attend all site progress meeting to report progress and coordinate with the other services to minimize rework due to service collision.Ensure proper handover of the system to the end-user and ensure traceability of documents.
