Leads the activities of other employees through technical knowledge, experience, and sound decision-making abilities to support product quality and ensure customer satisfaction.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. * Leads day-to-day activities and communications within the department * Trains and develops departmental team and leads employees in Continuous Improvement Programs. * Responsible for the training and development of all new hires and temporary employees. * Supervises work output and effectiveness for team members. * Ensures accurate training of employees in proper job performance and expectations. * Partners with cross-functional team.  Responds to Production Operations and Quality Control to ensure product output meets throughput and quality standards set forth by Operations and Quality management. * Document the progress of new employees and assist the Assembly Production Manager in the 90-day evaluations for these employees.  * Observes the progress and performance of all operators, material handlers, and printer packers to assist the Assembly Production Manager in the evaluation of these employees; Makes recommendations based on performance.  * Track and post daily departmental metrics as established by Plant Management. * Ensure inventory of departmental PPE is adequate to perform regular production. * Assist with any other duties and projects as required.
