Summary of Position:
Entry-Level Innovation AI Developers are responsible for assisting in the creation, deployment, and maintenance of artificial intelligence solutions. They support senior developers in building and integrating AI models into applications and systems, including natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and predictive analytics. The Innovation AI Developers contribute to the analysis and improvement of data quality and model performance.

Essential Functions:

• Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze datasets for AI model training, validation, and testing
• Write, test, and debug code related to AI model training, deployment, and integration into applications and systems
• Apply programming knowledge and computer science principles to support AI system architecture and solution design
• Collaborate with team members to integrate trained AI models (e.g., NLP, computer vision, predictive models) into production-level applications.
• Evaluate model performance using metrics and validation tools; assist with troubleshooting and optimization.
• Use discretion in selecting methods for data preparation, feature engineering, and modeling techniques
• Document AI model development processes, including code, configurations, test results, and model parameters
• Support the creation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders
• Conduct research on emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices to improve project outcomes
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and model quality within the AI development lifecycle
• Maintain datasets and support the infrastructure for model training and deployment
• Assist senior developers with code development, debugging, and testing

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and an innovation lab setting. Additionally, employees may be expected to help set up customer demos in the innovation lab using equipment such as industrial PCs (IPCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), cameras, sensors, lighting, robots, and other relevant technology.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field required.
• 0-2 years of experience in AI development, software development, or relevant internships.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or R
• Understanding of various AI methodologies, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and vision-language models (VLMs)
• Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or PydanticAI
• Familiarity with AI-assisted or AI-driven coding tools and platforms like Cursor, Windsurf, and Claude Code
• Familiarity with data preprocessing and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment

• Experience or coursework involving practical AI model implementation
• Participation in AI-focused hackathons, internships, or research projects
• Demonstrated project experience with real-world applications of AI solutions
