In collaboration with the Director, the Associate Director plans, staffs, directs, and manages daily operations—including construction, routine and preventative maintenance, alteration projects, and capital improvements—while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational excellence. The incumbent provides general supervision to a multi-skilled facilities team and assists with budget preparation and management. Your Day Will Likely Include: Managing routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and capital projects across HRL facilities (including MEP and custodial operations). Leading staff development, performance management, and workforce planning for a diverse and unionized team. Partnering with HRL leadership to establish long- and short-term goals for maintenance, construction, and custodial operations. Communicating regularly with Housing and Residential Life representatives to ensure alignment, resolve conflicts, and support operational needs. Monitoring and managing project budgets, schedules, and expenditures. Supporting and maintaining a culture of safety, equity, and student-centered service. Experience You Will Bring to the Organization: 5+ years of Facilities Management experience required.
