JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ Objective Haven Charter is the first Career and Technical Education SUNY Authorized high school in NYC with a focus in the Health Sciences sector. Opening in the South Bronx July 2025 with a 9th grade inaugural class of 120 students and offering pathways to both college and career. We are currently looking for our founding teaching team, which will play a critical role in realizing the mission, values and youth centered vision for our school. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reporting to the Principal, teachers at Haven Charter High School (HCHS) are responsible for teaching students by planning, developing, organizing, and implementing an appropriate and specialized instructional program to meet the unique needs of all students in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
